Invite people to your squad

Who can invite people to a squad?

A squad admin can invite people via a multi-use invite link, email or a text message.

Share a squad invite link or QR code

Each squad invite link has a QR code that can be scanned to join your squad.  You can share the QR code easily from any device, or share the invite link URL via text, social media or email.  A person can scan the code using a Camera app or click on the link to accept the invite to join your squad.  Squad admins can use the default invite link (Squad Invite), or create a new link. 

Create a new link

The Share a link section will display your squad's multi-use invite links.  Any squad admin can create or delete a link.  Follow the steps below to create an additional invite link:

1. Click the squad avatar in the navigation bar
2. Click Invite people in the left menu
3. Click the button in the Share a link section
4. Select a role from the Select default role dropdown (read about squad roles here)
5. Click Create - the link will appear in the list

View a QR Code

1. From the Invite people page, click the  button
2. Select View QR code

You can share the code with others so it can be scanned using a Camera app on a smart device, or the invite link URL can be shared.  If the device that scans the code does not have the SquadPod app installed then the option to download it will be available.     

Invite links can be deleted at any time.  This prevents people from joining your squad via the link wherever it was shared.

 

Send an email

The app will send an invite link to the email or phone number provided.  The pending invite will appear on the Invitations page in SENT section until it has been accepted, declined, or deleted.  Squad Admins can change the role, resend the text message, or revoke the invite while it has a pending status.  The message contains a single-use invite link a person can use to join your squad.

1. Click the squad avatar in the navigation bar
2. Click Invites in the left menu
3. Locate the Send a link by email section 
4. Enter valid email addresses - you can use commas or the tab key to submit the entry
5. When you're done, click the    button
6. Add a note to your invitations - you can leave the default message or personalize it!
7. Click Send 

Squad Admins can view and manage all of the invites for a squad, including invites created by other Squad Admins.  To learn more about how to manage pending invitations in your squad, click here.
