How do I lock a discussion?

Who can lock a discussion?

Locking a discussion prevents members from adding any new content or editing existing messages or files in the conversations.  Discussions can be locked and unlocked at any time.

Lock a discussion

1. Click the 'More' icon next to the discussion name
2. Click Details and settings
3. Click the toggle button next to Lock - a discussion is locked when the toggle is blue
4. Click 'Confirm' in the pop up

That's it!  A banner will appear when the discussion is opened to let all members know it cannot be added to until it is unlocked. 

Unlock a discussion

1. Click the 'More' icon next to the discussion name
2. Click Details and settings
3. Click the toggle button next to Lock - a discussion is not locked when the toggle is grey
4. Click 'Confirm' in the pop up.

The banner stating that "This discussion is locked" will no longer display.
